For many people, infertility isn't just a medical diagnosis. It's years of waiting, hoping, grieving, and finding the strength to try again.

Mrs. Banovic from Serbia knows exactly what that feels like.

In our latest video interview, she shares her IVF journey openly and honestly, not only the successful moments, but also the difficult years that came before.

Eight Years of Hope

Mrs. Banovic's journey began in 2018, when a routine ultrasound changed everything.

She learned that becoming a mother might not happen naturally and that IVF would likely be her best chance of having a child.

What followed were years of treatment. Two inseminations. Six unsuccessful IVF cycles in Serbia. Two more unsuccessful IVF attempts in Dubai, where she lives today.

Each disappointment became harder than the one before.

"There came a point when I felt I had reached rock bottom," she says.

The Most Important Change Happened Within

Looking back today, Vanja Banovic believes the biggest turning point wasn't another treatment cycle. It was learning how to take care of herself again.

After years of disappointment, she realised she had lost confidence in herself. She decided to focus on rebuilding her mental strength, finding hope again, and changing the way she viewed her journey. "I became a new version of myself."

Why She Chose the Czech Republic

When she decided to pursue egg donation, she started researching clinics across Europe. She contacted several IVF centres, comparing waiting times, communication, and treatment options.

One detail stood out immediately. At Unica Clinic in Brno, she received a reply within 24 hours.

But choosing a clinic wasn't an overnight decision. For almost a year, she continued asking questions by email. Every concern, every uncertainty, every practical detail mattered. She also explored treatment in other countries. One clinic informed her that finding a suitable donor could take six months, or even longer because of her physical characteristics. At Unica, the answer was different. There was no waiting list for donor matching.

For Mrs. Banović, that became one of the key reasons why she chose the Czech Republic.

Turning Treatment Into a Journey

Travelling abroad for IVF can sound stressful. Mrs. Banovic and her husband decided to look at it differently.

Instead of focusing only on the medical procedure, they treated each trip to Brno as time together, a chance to leave everyday worries behind and experience a new place while moving one step closer to their dream. That simple shift in perspective helped make the experience feel lighter.

A Moment She Will Never Forget

After years of negative pregnancy tests, there finally came one that looked different.

Positive.

"I had never seen those two lines before," she says. "It appeared within seconds."

She remembers crying, shaking, and hardly believing what she was seeing. For the first time after years of treatment, hope had become reality.

Her Message to Other Couples

Mrs. Banovic now speaks openly about infertility through her own podcast, believing that sharing experiences helps break the loneliness many couples feel.

Her message is simple.

Don't lose sight of each other.

The IVF journey may be short or incredibly long. There will be difficult moments. But the love that brought you together should remain stronger than the treatment itself.
