When the coronavirus paralyzed the world in March this year, it affected the lives of us all. It also thwarted the plans of couples who were going to undergo infertility treatment in Prague. But there is also something positive to be found during these challenging days. The experience of Linda and Jonas from Germany speaks for itself. Undergoing an IVF treatment is a decision you will not make overnight. We have thought and planned this step for a long time. When the world literally stopped in the spring, so did our plans. We waited patiently for any news of being allowed entry into the Czech Republic so that we could start our IVF process. Having just returned from Prague, we have to say that the experience was pretty remarkable and perhaps worth the wait.
The UNICA staff was very helpful with our travel plans and they also went over the safety precautions they are taking to help put our minds at ease. One of the unforseen benefits of traveling to Prague at this time was waiting for us right after arrival. it felt like my husband and I had the whole city to ourselves! The crowds of tourists that we remembered from our last visit disappeared and we were able to discover Prague from a completely different perspective. We took long walks throughout the city to all the historical landmarks while still being able to maintain a wide distance between other people. In addition, hotel prices have dropped so much that we could splurge for a really beautiful place. Considering everything that’s going on, the trip that we’d been stressing so much about, actually turned out to be the most relaxing time we’ve had in a while. We fell in love with Prague and hope to be able to visit it again soon. This time as a family of three!
